This project comprised of ground floor additions to the rear, renovation of the original rooms, and first floor additions, to transform this Californian Bungalow into a light filled modern family home with open plan living.

The original home felt dark at the rear due to the orientation and awkward layout as a result of smaller additions and renovations over the years, so the rear portion of the home was completely reworked and modernized.

A new alfresco space and swimming pool complete with loggia, flank either side of the home to maximize the northern exposure of these spaces.

A skylight at first floor level directs natural light down the stairwell to brighten the internal areas of the home.
